Audience Reaction to Key Brexit Politicians

In October 2019, at the height of Brexit negotiations between the EU and the new Boris Johnson British government, Shimmer research, in collaboration with Bellwether Citizens Response conducted a study to understand an Irish audience’s emotional reactions to different Brexit personalities as they discussed various issues related to the contentious debate around Brexit.

30 participants were gathered and exposed to stimuli of 11 leading Brexit personalities discussing the topic. Using Shimmer’s NeuroLynQ system, their ECG and GSR responses were captured and analysed to understand the group response to all personalities and their messages.
